Green Smoothie

3/4 cup water and 6 ice cubes, 3/4 cup kale, 1/2 cup spinach leaves, 2 t lemon juice, 1/4 apple and 1/3  frozen banana.  Use a high-speed blender or a vita mix for 90 sec. You can experiment with other greens, adding some broccoli or collard greens is very tasty or use a pear in place of the apple.

Fitness Lifestyle Design provides students with knowledge and
skills related to health topics that enhance their ability to make wise
health decisions for themselves, their families and communities. The
content has a significant focus on nutrition, to include fundamentals
of nutrition, food labeling, sports nutrition, and nutrition and
disease prevention, eating disorders, making healthful choices away
from home, grocery store tour, and food safety. In addition students
have the opportunity to learn basic culinary skills, in preparation for
